Chris Leclaire, Post-Secondary Counselor

Chris graduated from McGill University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Social Work and previously worked at KSCS (Kahnawake Shakotiia’takenhas Community Services), Tewatohnisaktha, and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake before  joining the Kahnawake Education Center as Post-Secondary Counselor in January 2012.

The main responsibilities of the Post-Secondary Counselor are to:

• Provide counseling services to potential and existing post-secondary clients,
• Assist those who are applying for funding,
• Manage and upkeep student benefits on monthly basis,
• Oversee financial reporting,
• Participate with partners for special programs.
