Timothy Lahache, IT Supervisor

Tim is responsible for managing the day to day technology needs for all three community schools as well as the Kahnawake Education Center.

Below is a list of Tim’s main duties:

  • Information Systems Project Manager
  • Management of the KEC Technology Budget
  • Cano Student Management Database Manager
  • Cano support and Development
  • Technology in the Classroom Development and integration
  • Smart Board Training and Support
  • Web and Intranet Development
  • Security Systems Manager

Along with the above mentioned, Tim is also liaise with the FNEC (First Nations Education Council) for all ICT related projects, including writing applications and reporting on current works of the KEC/FNEC Fibre Project.

Tim is also the daily Client Server support for the Kahnawake Education Center, Kateri, Kahnawake Survival and Karonhianonhnha Schools.

Jason Calvert, Network Administrator

Jason is responsible for all 3 schools, Karonhianonhnha, Kateri and Survival School as well as the Kahnawake Education Center.  His office is located at the Kateri School.

Jason’s duties are making sure that the:

  • Servers and the backups are running correctly,
  • Messaging (email and Blackberry) systems are functioning properly,
  • Installation and updating new hardware and software is up to date.

In addition to the above mentioned duties, Jason is responsible for day to day maintenance and desktop support, as well researching and keeping up to date with the latest IT innovations and how they can apply to the education sector.
